Everything But The Cook |
As Kim (who submitted the recipe) says "There seem
to be alot of instructions but really it is very easy. Just read
through it once. You use only two pans. . ." |
| Ingredients |
- 1 chicken
- 1/2 - 1 pound of hamburger
- 1 cup of rice
- 1/2 can garbanzo beans(chick peas)
- 1/4 cup nuts (almonds, pine nuts or peanuts)
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 tablespoon allspice
- salt and pepper

Instructions |
- Wash chicken well. Rub with salt and pepper
and place in pan. Bake in oven on 350 F - (number 3) on
international ovens for 1 1/4 hour.
- As chicken is cooking
brown the nuts, set aside.
- Place hamburger in pan and brown.
Add spices cook for a minute more and then add rice.
- Stir fry
the rice for 1 minute and then add 1 cup of water. Bring to
boil. Cover, lower heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the
rice is cooked.
- When chicken is cooked serve it on top of the
rice mixture.
- You can serve the chicken either whole or cut into pieces. Place the
browned nuts on top.
- Serve with plain yogurt and salad.
